Subsequent to her first phase of scholarship programmes held in Oke ose community secondary school, Yattiyr decided to award scholarships to the best 10 students at a public secondary school in Ilorin as they resume the new session. Such actions are taken with the aim of increasing access to education for indigents by alleviating poverty which remains the main scourge keeping a lot of children out of school. Mr Olaoluwa Stephen, a student of the university of Ilorin and head of logistics at the initiative led this second project.
The remarkable event which featured awarding of scholarships and an interactive seminar session held on Monday, 24th of September at the Government Day Secondary School (GDSS), Oke Aluko, Ilorin, Kwara state.

In addition to the event, some twenty books, which included various literatures, textbooks, exam preparatory materials amongst others were donated to the school library to promote the reading culture of the students who may have no learning materials.

The inspiring seminar session was led by the sole sponsor of the scholarships, Mr Adedoyin Gabriel in a charitable celebration of his birthday. Mr Adedoyin who is currently a final year medical student at the University of Ilorin deems it fit that the best way to celebrate life is to give it or add quality to it. He shared various important lessons on the path to excellence; he also shared his personal experiences to consolidate the effective teachings on Discipline and Determination, the resultant effect of this teaching was seen in the questions asked by the students, which showed their resolve to attain excellence at all credible costs irrespective of their various indigent backgrounds.

Lastly, the award of a year tuition scholarships marked the grand finale of the event. Many of the students wished to have been awarded. Nevertheless, the best 10 students were given; this stimulated the quest for excellence among the students and an encouragement of a healthy competition in their various classes. The awardees included; Temitope Inioluwa, Babatunde Simbiat, Lawal Folake, Ajia Rodiat, Musa Aminat, Uthman Afusat, Akanbi Lailat, Soliu Sodiq, Aro lekan and Hadi Salamat, all in the senior class. The beneficiaries attested to the fact that the scholarship is a great blessing to them and would ease the financial burden on their various families as some of them have to do extra menial jobs just to add to the family flow of income.
Speaking in her closing remark, the Vice principal of the senior school appreciated the initiative immensely noting the initiative to be a problem solver in the community. She also charged the students to ensure to respond to the kind gesture shown to them by becoming the best they can be as advised.

The convener of the initiative, Mr Fatoye John, a medical student at the University of Ilorin has said that active follow up is being done on the students via their mentorship plan where every member of the initiative is paired with a student. He appreciated the sponsor and every other donor while encouraging more of such kind acts of humanitarianism from the community especially youths, as love remains the true test of all religion.
The Yattiyr Scholarship Initiative shall be holding a community project of putting children in schools, tutoring out-of-school children and donating books at the Gaa Ayekale community, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara state on 26th of October, 2018 where it was gathered from her statistics that 87% of the children in the community is out of school due to poverty and unavailability of educational facilities.
